ARTIST STATEMENT.  Crazy quilts were popular in the late 1800s. Using asymmetrical patterns, this quilt design allowed makers to use every piece of precious fabric.

In this piece, dozens of antique skeletons keys are drilled and “sewn” together with metal jump rings to create an unexpected whimsical tapestry.
